Since 1997, the Black Potatoe Music Festival has been presenting artists from 6 continents, over 20 countries and 30+ states.  Black Potatoe has presented Rock n'Roll, Blues, Folk and Jazz Hall of Famers as well as Emmy Winners, Grammy winners and some of the best up and coming artist this country has to offer.

Black Potatoe Music Festival Alumni include, Levon Helm, The Smithereens, Andy Summers, Tony Levin, Jimmy Vivino, Grace Potter, Lake Street Dive, Chris Smither, Steve Forbert, Edwin McCain, Honeyboy Edwards, Dicky Betts, John Hammond, Willy Porter, Scott Sharrard, Buckwheat Zydeco, The Holmes Brothers, Gregg Cagno, Shawn Mullins, Ellis Paul, Jim Weider, Randy Ciarlante, David Johanssen, The Matt Angus Thing, Sarah Borges, Carolyn Wonderland, Bernie Worrell, The Sharar Sisters, Sonny Landreth, KC Cary, Shameika Copeland, Kathy Phillips, Anthony Morgan's Gospel Choir, Caren Kennedy, Bernard Purdie, Jerry Jemmott, Professor Louie and the Crowmatix and many others.

What started as a CD release for founder Matt Angus' band 'Angus' turned into a multiple day event and a mainstay on the New Jersey music scene, drawing the some of the best fans of music in the North-East with fan coming from as far away as California.  These die hard fans, many of which buy their tickets without even knowing the line-up are referred to as "Potatoeheads".
